About this Project

The Aurukun Bauxite Project in Far North Queensland is proposed bauxite mine with a 20-year life span.

Insight Survey were asked to provide expert advice and services to the early stages of project development because of our extensive record of work in the local area.

Works completed so far include:

• Establishment of primary and secondary control networks
• Management of a tidal study to determine local Port Datum
• Management of hydrographic surveying works for the proposed Coastal Offloading Facility
• Topographical surveys and drone flights for design
